I met Jono Manson three years ago, shortly after I moved to Santa Fe. We quickly discovered that we really enjoyed one another’s company, and we began writing songs together. Since then, we’ve managed to complete quite a number of them, despite the fact that we are both always so busy with other musical pursuits.

We’ve recorded,mixed and mastered the first batch and this collection, “Playing Day for Night” will be released on May Day. We’ve written several more and have plans to record and release them later this year.

Even more wonderful than the common ground we share as musicians is the fact that, to an extent, we come from different places, both as composers and producers, so it’s a partnership in which we challenge each other to approach things differently than we might on our own. At this stage in the game, that is always a welcome opportunity. Here’s a short clip of one of the songs from our forthcoming collection:
